How to Unlock Wii - Unlock Your Wii, Play Retro, Imported, Copied Games

May 9th, 2009

So at the end of the day I’d have to say that the Wii Homebrew is a great dealwiialerts. I used it a lot and the price was more than fair. Now I can play all the Wii alerts, games, movies, and cheats I want and I’ll never go back!

The idea behind Homebrew is really simple. You pay a one time fee of $29.00 and get to play any game on your Wii, whether it be original or copied and more. But, I wanted to know if it was really worth your money so I went ahead and tried it for myself. What I found was pretty shocking.

I first decided to price some of the popular games for the Wii. I quickly learned that in many cases the Wii Homebrew was cheaper than just one game at the store. Of course there are some that are a little lower in price but if you want the really good games you’re going to have to shell out about $50 anyway.

So you take into account that the Wii Homebrew cost about the same as one-half of the price of a single game AND that you get music, movies, alerts and cheats as well and it just makes good sense to invest in the this product.

But is this a good choice for everyone? Well if you’re a PC user than Yes! However, Wii Homebrew is not currently compatible with Mac’s so if you’re an Apple user you’ll have to skip on it. For everyone else though this is a great bargain.

I really liked the fact that this product doesn’t come with a subscription like similar things might. The one time price made it a really good deal for me and I didn’t feel like I was getting roped into anything that I was going to want to get out of later.

When I think about how much money I could probably spend either buying or renting new games for my Wii in a month I knew I’d made the right choice.

This would also be a great gift idea. I could see parents giving this to their gamer son or daughter for Christmas because you really do get so much out of it and there’s no stress over whether or not you’re getting the right game because they can literally choose any game they like!

When writing this review I also have to talk about how often I used it. It’s a great deal but if you’re not going to use it very often it might not be a good fit for you. However, I found myself using it all the time. I loved that when I got bored with one game I could just move onto the next.
