System Nes

In 1985, the U.S. video game console market was almost dead. Even popular games like Pac Man and Asteroids were not doing well in the arcades. What led the market down was the flood of cheap imitation titles came in the distribution of a couple of years before selling a disordered two to three dollars each. The low quality of these games to put a black dot in the video game industry. The saturation makes it difficult, even for the quality of the game to get your name makes the public generally, which forced to close its doors.

This decline continued until Corky that a Japanese company recently entered into the mix. Nintendo broke into the console market in Japan in 1983, breaking with Famicom, or NES in the U.S.. With a fall U.S. console market, many farmers were abandoning the console industry. Former players such as Intellivision and Colcovision simply no longer sold. This ended be the ideal situation for the console that started in the United States.

In late 1985, stores had to sell the NES and was immediately a success. Breathing life back into the industry, many game makers were eager to create games for this new console. This caused an interesting dilemma for the Japanese manufacturer console. The flood of games that was released was the reason for the earlier ruling. To counter this happens, game publishers were only allowed to produce five games for sale each year.

This proved a difficult operation. However, because their console was absolutely dominating the market, many developers reluctantly had to meet. Nintendo also demanded that all games that were made for their console to be exclusive for a period of one year, which requires games to be exclusive and only on the NES for sale.

He also introduced the concept of security tokens in the game cartridges. This protection against hackers and allowed only did their console could play NES. It also forced developers to use game maker Nintendo as not, that was another way forced the company quality control in the U.S. video game industry.

Nintendo took many heavy handed tactics to reach the top of the industry video games. These tactics later became the subject of scrutiny for many years later, but there is no doubt that Nintendo was an opportunistic company use everything in its power to break into the gaming industry. They may have been disguised, but the company is one of the few of that era still standing today.
